Partner

Adv. Shai Ganor is the partner in charge of the firm’s Tel Aviv office.

Prior to joining the firm in 1991, Adv. Ganor served as a law clerk for Miriam Naor (then a Jerusalem District Court justice and now a Supreme Court justice). Adv. Ganor specializes in corporate and commercial law, advising in the fields of hi-tech, venture capital, and M&A. Adv. Ganor has been involved in the establishment and representation of VC funds, and has represented private investors in hi-tech ventures and investments. In addition, Adv. Ganor serves as legal advisor to most of the firm’s hi-tech clients, and represents leading US internet companies in acquiring start-up companies in Israel. Adv. Ganor also advises a sizeable public company in its M&A transactions as well as in other complex commercial transactions both in Israel and abroad.

In 2003, Adv. Ganor was recommended by the European Legal 500 in the fields of hi-tech, start-up companies and venture capital.

In 2014 Adv. Ganor was recommended in Legal 500 and noted as “excellent” for representation of public companies in transactions in the $50 million to $100 million region.

In addition to his activities in the firm, Adv. Ganor serves in a senior position at Promisec Ltd., an Israeli start-up in the field of information security software.

Adv. Ganor is also experienced in the field of corporate insolvency, particularly in devising arrangements for the restructuring and reorganization of insolvent companies. He played a major role in the liquidation and rehabilitation of the ‘Ohr Hadash’ project in Ashdod which, being comprised of 600 housing units, was the largest insolvency of its kind in Israel at the time, and Adv. Ganor was deeply involved in devising the complex and wide-scale arrangements which permitted the ultimate successful completion of the project.

In addition, Adv. Ganor coordinated the firm’s representation of the State following the Rabin administration, handling the claims of Israeli building contractors arising out of the termination of a large number of construction projects, primarily in the West Bank. He worked alongside the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Offices in representing the State with respect to the foregoing claims. The firm has successfully settled, to the Government's satisfaction, most of the claims, worth billions of shekels.

Adv. Ganor serves as a member of the Israel Bar Association’s Hi-Tech Committee.
