Energy and Infrastructure

E.S. Shimron, I. Molho, Persky & Co. has wide experience in the fields of energy and infrastructure. Since the early 1950’s, the firm has handled the legal aspects of oil exploration in Israel, including obtaining permits for its clients, and has advised several oil-related projects.  The firm has represented energy-related projects in the Sinai (then under Israeli control) and has handled permits, licenses and capital funding for oil drilling and exploration projects.

 

In recent years, the firm has handled major projects in the field of energy and electricity, including representation of prominent energy corporations in their activities in Israel in the IPP area, and in preliminary engagements anticipating energy reforms.  The firm also provides sophisticated legal counsel in the gas field, and represents leading international gas corporations before the relevant authorities concerning the formation of gas infrastructure companies in Israel.  In addition, the firm handles representation of large-scale tender submissions in these fields.  The firm also represents the State of Israel in large-scale legal proceedings related to water allocation.

 

The field of energy and infrastructure law is characterized by a unique integration of public and private commercial law.  The level of regulation in this field is substantial, and E.S. Shimron, I. Molho, Persky & Co. possesses deep knowledge of administrative law and tender law, and has significant experience in handling matters with the relevant government authorities (and sometimes representing the Government), as well as in conducting legal proceedings relating to the above matters.
