We welcome new olim and have a record of engaging talented young lawyers who recently immigrated to Israel. SMP is not a particularly large law firm, and does not desire to be one. It is by design that it has maintained its character as a big-enough but compact firm, with a team of versatile, efficient, high-quality professionals able to successfully tackle complex and diverse challenges that many large firms would find difficult.
The firm’s internship is structured so that the interns are given the rare opportunity to engage in a wide range of areas of civil and commercial law. As an intern, I was given the opportunity to be exposed to different partners and associates, each of whom, has contributed to my development as a young legal professional. After passing the Bar exam, I was fortunate to return to work at the firm, this time as an associate lawyer.
Michal Seti | Associate, former intern at the firm
During my internship, I was fortunate enough to take part in high-profile cases, and conduct substantial legal work, which included negotiation meetings with highly regarded participants, draft statements to the supreme court, preparation of extensive cross-examinations, and the management of large-scale real estate projects. The firm was supportive of me and my future, allowing me to pursue a Masters’ degree during my internship and supporting me and my fellow interns in the preparation course for the bar exam, which we all completed successfully!”
Ofek Bruck | Associate, former intern at the firm
“I decided to intern at the firm mainly because the firm gives interns a rare opportunity to deal with almost every field of civil law at the highest level. Such a multidisciplinary approach is difficult to find in other elite firms in light of the multiplicity of departments specializing in different fields. I think that the opportunity to gain experience in as many legal fields as possible is critical to forming a professional identity as a lawyer.”
